Privately purchased after her maiden win, she joined the barn and immediately upset the Grade 1 Oak Leaf at 13–1, winning by 4¾ lengths at two.

Claimed for $50,000, he became a graded-stakes winner with a 10¼-length Cougar II performance and kept taking on California’s best into his seven-year-old season.

Reraise broke first and carried his speed all the way through the Breeders’ Cup Sprint at Churchill Downs, defeating Grand Slam by two lengths in 1:09.07. The victory capped a brilliant career with eight wins from nine starts and helped earn him the Eclipse Award as America’s champion sprinter.
At 27, Craig Dollase became the youngest trainer ever to win a Breeders’ Cup race.
The landmark victory came two years after Wally Dollase won the Breeders’ Cup Distaff with Jewel Princess, placing father and son together in racing history.

Awesome Gem did not debut until three, then kept improving. He won his first Grade 1 at seven, defeated Game On Dude at eight, and was still a graded-stakes winner at nine. He traveled, adapted and returned four times to the Breeders’ Cup.

When Awesome Gem told the barn it was time, Dollase listened. The nine-year-old retired sound enough to begin a second life and now lives at Old Friends in Kentucky.

Mammoth.
Dollase and owner Jeffrey Sengara claimed him in March 2023. Sixteen months later, the dark bay turned the mile and a half Cougar II Stakes into a 10¼-length statement. At seven, he was still winning and returning to graded company.
