Wally Dollase came to racing after a career in pharmaceuticals, built Rancho Rio Vista, and became one of America’s respected conditioners. His champions included Itsallgreektome and Jewel Princess; his children learned the business beside him.
Craig was his assistant before going out on his own. Sisters Aimee and Michelle also built careers with horses, while mother Cincy was the family confidant and constant presence. In 2003, Craig saddled Elloluv for the Kentucky Oaks one day before Wally sent out Ten Most Wanted in the Derby, a family week almost too perfect to script.

The tradition
continues.
The racetrack remains both workplace and gathering place for the Dollases. The generations change, but the family’s connection to horses and to one another continues.
